Monthly stays in Puerto Rico
A month here is a different thing from a week. You stop eating out every night, you need somewhere to work that is not the kitchen table, and laundry stops being optional. These homes are set up for that: a real desk, in-unit laundry, a kitchen you can cook in properly, and fast enough internet to hold a call.
Puerto Rico is on Atlantic Standard Time, which is US Eastern for half the year and an hour ahead the rest — workable for anyone on a mainland schedule. There is no passport and no currency exchange, and US mobile plans roam free.
Worth knowing: Every 30-night price below is real: read from that home's live booking calendar, refreshed automatically four times a day, with the cleaning fee and Puerto Rico tax included. A stay of 28 or 29 nights gets the smaller weekly discount instead of the monthly one, so it can cost more overall than the full 30.

What to know
Can you rent a furnished home in Puerto Rico by the month?
Yes. The homes in RentInPR's monthly collection are furnished, list a laptop-friendly workspace and a dishwasher, accept a single stay of a month or longer, and nearly all have a washing machine and dryer. Most are in the old city or Santurce, with others in Condado, Miramar and Dorado.
Most are also marked as allowing long-term stays, and their kitchens are set up for cooking every day rather than reheating: each lists a stove and microwave, and most an oven. Coffee makers, irons and hair dryers are on nearly every list, which matters more over four weeks than four nights.
Working from the apartment
What "workspace" means differs from home to home. Some add a desk chair, an external monitor or a separate office room, and Luz Collection No.2 also has a printer. Where a home publishes its Wi-Fi speed, the listed figure is 500 Mbps or more. If you need a second screen or a door that closes for calls, check the amenity list on the property page, or ask us before you book.
Groceries and utilities
Groceries are a walk away from the Condado apartments, by their own listings, and the Dorado villa has a supermarket, a pharmacy and a gas station just outside the community gate. On utilities, Luz Collection No.2's listing states that power and water use come with the stay, with a request to switch the air conditioning off when you go out; for the other homes, ask us before booking a long stay.
Power, water and backup
Short power or water interruptions still happen on the island, and several of these listings say so plainly. Backup is decided building by building: High-Rise Condado Suite's building has a generator that starts on its own when the grid drops, plus a reserve water tank, while the Dorado villa's listing states that it has no generator. Give the water heater a couple of minutes, as the listings advise, and on stormy days keep a charged battery pack for the laptop.
