A month here is a different thing from a week. You stop eating out every night, you need somewhere to work that is not the kitchen table, and laundry stops being optional. These homes are set up for that: a real desk, in-unit laundry, a kitchen you can cook in properly, and fast enough internet to hold a call.

Puerto Rico is on Atlantic Standard Time, which is US Eastern for half the year and an hour ahead the rest — workable for anyone on a mainland schedule. There is no passport and no currency exchange, and US mobile plans roam free.

Worth knowing: Ask about the monthly rate before booking. Stays of 28 nights and over are priced differently from a week, and the site will not show that automatically.
