    We have traveled to Puerto Rico, as a family, for the past 5 years. Each year we choose to stay in the Old San Juan area as it has all of the amenities we are looking for within a few miles. Local restaurants, multiple beach access points, walking distance to shops and grocery stores, etc. Rassam's apartment is an amazing location, right in the heart of Old San Juan. The building itself and surroundings are very scenic and representative of old Spanish Colonial architecture. The pictures of the apartment are quite accurate and display the many modern updates that have been applied to the living space. For those unfamiliar to travel in Puerto Rico, be aware that the Old San Juan area is very old construction. While there are many modern conveniences such as great air conditioning, up to date furniture and a wifi connected smart TV, there are also minor issues with poor water pressure and a minimalist cooktop kitchen. However, as a whole, we give the host and the location top reviews.

    Absolutely beautiful home right in the heart of Old San Juan. We enjoyed a number of restaurants and cafes just steps away, and quiet evenings on the balcony overlooking the street. The host was extremely helpful and communicative and worked with us through a difficult situation. The house itself was extremely spacious, even bigger than we expected from the photos. Great stay and highly recommend!

    An excellent stay! Six of us traveled to Puerto Rico for a friends trip and this was the perfect spot. Plenty of room, great location, and a beautiful view of the classic old San Juan architecture. Because of its location it was quite noisy at night, but that’s part of the charm! I am a light sleeper and brought my white noise machine and it was totally fine. Would absolutely recommend this rental!

    Great location. Great property (historic building). Everything walkable. Awesome and super responsive host. One word of caution. Would not recommend driving into the old San Juan since navigation through the super narrow streets is difficult and parking is limited/very expensive. Using Uber w/taxi would save you a ton of money and headache.

    We ended up missing our flight and at the very last minute needed a place to stay. This place was amazing and wish we could’ve spent more than one night because of the location and just the space in general. Our family has traveled Europe, many times and the street this place is located in the high ceilings with the patio looking out to the street. We felt like we were in Spain. It was just amazing. There was plenty of room for our four kids to spread out and have their own space to sleep. Would highly recommend this place whether it’s one night or a few nights. It really is in the heart of old town. We walked to cafés and dinner, and there are many cute little shops just around the corner.

Its streets are paved with adoquines, the blue-grey cobblestones cast from furnace slag and laid down centuries ago, and they run between pastel townhouses with wrought-iron balconies and interior courtyards. Castillo San Felipe del Morro and Castillo San Cristóbal anchor either end of the district, both part of the San Juan National Historic Site.
