Splitting a group across two apartments is how a trip stops feeling like one trip. These are the homes with enough beds, bathrooms and table space that nobody has to draw straws — most of them the multi-bedroom colonial houses in Old San Juan and the larger Santurce places, where the living space was built for a family rather than squeezed around a bed.
What matters at this size is rarely the bed count. It is whether there is more than one bathroom, whether the kitchen can actually feed eight, and whether the living room seats everyone at once. The figures on each card are the real ones from the calendar, and the bathroom count is worth reading as carefully as the bedroom count.
Worth knowing: Puerto Rico houses often count a sofa bed toward the sleeps number. Where that matters we say so on the property page, in the bed layout.

What to know
Can a large group stay together in one Puerto Rico rental?
Yes. Every home in RentInPR's large-group collection sleeps at least six, and some of the Old San Juan houses take ten or eleven. The sleeps figure often relies on a sofa bed or an air mattress in the living room, so read the bed layout before promising everyone a bedroom.
The two-bedroom apartments in Santurce near Ocean Park Beach reach six with a queen air mattress that their listings describe as great for kids. Check the table, too: Villa Blanca's dining table seats eight, and Casa Brisa's seats six.
Bathrooms, beds and hot water
At six guests, a single bathroom is common, and some listings point it out in so many words; the old-city houses that sleep ten or eleven have two. Queen beds fill most bedrooms, with bunk beds in some family apartments and a bedroom with two king beds in Luquillo. Several listings warn that the hot water runs warm rather than scalding, so stagger the showers after the beach and give the tank time to recover.
House rules written for groups
No parties or events is the standard rule, and Grand Palazzo del Mar and Royal Imperial spell out that nobody beyond the registered guests may sleep over and that visitors need approval in advance. Quiet hours most often run from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. In Dorado, the gated community's condo rules cap the two-bedroom villa at six registered guests, use wristbands and fine noise.
Cars and getting around as a group
Parking does not grow with the guest list. Where a space is included it is usually one, and Captain's Beachfront in Luquillo states there is no overflow parking, so a group with two cars needs a street space or a paid garage for the second. For the old-city houses, the listings make the case for leaving the car: restaurants, bars and the forts all sit within a walk. Rideshare is easy to find inside San Juan, by these listings' account, but a group of six or more heading out of the city will need two cars or a bigger vehicle.
