Car-rental desks are plentiful at SJU; if you prefer local flair, Dorado Car Rental will even deliver to the gate.

Ride-share & taxis – Uber operates between the airport and Dorado but can be spotty late at night. Local taxis are available (ask the guard for a card).

Public transport – AMT buses link Bayamón Metro station with Dorado via Route D17; from Bayamón you can hop on Tren Urbano into San Juan . It’s cheap but slow and doesn’t run late, so most guests use it for day trips only.

On foot & wheels – Once inside Dorado del Mar you can walk to the beach in two minutes, reach the golf clubhouse in ten, and wander shaded sidewalks lined with almond and flamboyant trees. Joggers and cyclists often loop the six-mile coastal road before breakfast.
