Three bedrooms or more in Puerto Rico
Three bedrooms is the point where a rental starts to beat a hotel by a distance — everyone gets a door that closes, and the living space is somewhere you actually spend the evening rather than pass through.
These are the larger colonial houses and the multi-floor Santurce homes. Several have more than one bathroom, which matters more than the third bedroom on a morning when four people need to be somewhere. Check the bathroom count on each card.
Worth knowing: The biggest homes here go first for holidays and long weekends. If your dates are fixed, book earlier than feels necessary.

What to know
Are there vacation rentals with three or more bedrooms in Puerto Rico?
Yes. RentInPR's homes with three or more bedrooms range from colonial houses inside the old city, some with four or five bedrooms, to three-bedroom apartments in Santurce and beach homes in Dorado and Luquillo. Three bedrooms does not always mean two bathrooms, so read both numbers together.
How the bedrooms and bathrooms are arranged
In Casa Horizonte (Luz Collection No.3), the main bedroom has a small private bathroom, and the larger shared one opens from both the second bedroom and the living room; Casa Brisa (No.2) follows the same idea, with its shared bathroom off the living space. Villa Mansion keeps a two-queen bedroom with a full bath downstairs and the other bedrooms upstairs. Queen beds are the norm across these homes; the Luquillo house puts two kings in one room, and Casa Juno Grand keeps a bunk bed in its third bedroom.
Air conditioning, room by room
Several listings describe cooling room by room. Grand Palazzo del Mar runs six separate units with ceiling fans; the Luquillo house has a unit and blackout shades in every bedroom; Casa Juno Grand, Sunkiss and the Luz Collection apartments cool each bedroom. Villa Blanca's listing is different: air conditioning in the main suite and a ceiling fan in each room. Some of these listings include electricity and water in the stay and ask guests to turn the units off when they leave the apartment.
Stairs, levels and young children
Several of these homes spread over more than one level or sit up a flight of stairs. Grand Palazzo del Mar has a spiral staircase; Villa Mansion is a two-story house with a roof terrace, and its rules ask that children be with an adult on the stairs and terrace; Casa Juno Grand, Sunkiss and the Luquillo house are second-floor apartments. Cribs are listed at several of these homes, and some add a high chair, a travel crib, stair or baby gates, or children's dinnerware; the amenity list for each home shows which.

Great location with many things to do within steps of walking out the door. Right next to a parking garage as well. Very unique space.
Great place to stay in San Juan! We were there for a conference and the loft is easy to reach for both conference center and tourism purposes. Also, we really enjoyed having a beer late in the evening on the nice little patio.
