This is a grandfathered, city-protected historic property—so you’re staying inside a real piece of Old San Juan.
Because of its age and island setting, a few things work differently from a modern mainland home:
• Original mosaic floors show gentle wear and color variation; please remove sandy shoes and avoid dragging luggage.
• Slightly uneven thresholds, wavy plaster walls, and the occasional creaky hinge are part of the charm, not defects.
• Hot-water heaters here are compact; water gets warm but not scalding, so enjoy shorter showers and let the tank recover between guests.
• Second-floor walk-up (16 steps, no elevator).
• Street parking is usually easy and the neighborhood is considered very safe; paid garages on Ashford Ave. are about an eight-minute walk if you prefer covered parking.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and homely. Its location is excellent being just two minutes from Ocean Park Beach and 5 minutes from Condado. The amenities were excellent - especially the television with all relevant streaming platforms - with plenty of towels, cutlery, and kitchen appliances. The host was excellent and very attentive. For anyone looking to visit Puerto Rico, I would truly recommend this apartment as an affordable, comfortable, and convenient location to enjoy your stay to the fullest.
The place was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. It was located in a quiet area, and the beach as well as several restaurants and shops were within walking distance. Diana was a very responsive and attentive host, always replying quickly to our messages and making sure we had everything we needed. We had a wonderful time and would happily stay here again.
The apartment was beautiful and very clean, though smaller than I expected. The host was extremely responsive and friendly, which made the stay feel welcoming. The only challenges were that the AC units were located in the bedrooms, so the rest of the apartment stayed warmer than we were comfortable with, and the bed was a bit too firm for me. Overall, it was still a lovely place and a good experience.
Short walk to beaches and other places. Lots of street parking available. Rooms are spacious and amenities are well thought out. Has a functional kitchen and in unit washer dryer came in handy after those walk to beaches. Overall very satisfied
This is a jem of an apartment in a central location of San Juan! We enjoyed being walking distance to Oceanpark Beach and a quick Uber ride away to different parts of San Juan. We enjoyed the most the art deco design and how spacious the apartment felt. If you've stayed anywhere else in San Juan you will quickly realize most rentals are little boxes. Diana's listing carried the essence of classic San Juan with warm lighting and within an older but charming building. We also enjoyed having the essentials of a washer and dryer, fast wifi and air conditioning. Overall, our stay was relaxing and we enjoyed staying in this artistic rental for a extended amount of time!
Had a great stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and in a perfect location. The host was super responsive and made everything easy from check-in to check-out. Would definitely come back next time I’m in Puerto Rico. Highly recommend!

La Placita de Santurce works as a produce market by day and turns into one of the liveliest squares in the Caribbean after dark. The Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico sits a few blocks away, and the Santurce es Ley murals cover whole building faces across the barrio.
