Fajardo is Puerto Rico's eastern gateway, serving as the departure point for ferries to Vieques and Culebra. Beyond its strategic location, Fajardo offers its own bioluminescent bay (Laguna Grande), excellent snorkeling at offshore cays, and the stunning Las Cabezas de San Juan Nature Reserve.

Ferries to Vieques and Culebra now depart from Ceiba (about 10 min south of Fajardo). Book ferry tickets in advance through the PRTC website.
