Staying here was a great experience. The Airbnb itself is located in what I would consider the best location for staying in old San Juan. You are a couple minutes walk away from being in the center of it all, but just tucked away enough that there won’t be constant traffic and noise. The room was comfortable, and can easily accommodate 2 people. If your goal is to experience old San Juan, this is the place for you. For those wanting to explore more of PR by renting a vehicle, just know that parking will be the biggest hurdle of your day. Thankfully, Gloryvee has great recommendations to make that easier, and is an overall amazing host. 10/10 hidden gem!

Great place to stay for 3-4 days in the absolute heart of Old San Juan. Just a short walk to just about everywhere. Wi-Fi worked just fine. I didn't use the kitchen; I ate out. The only thing I would add for people who want absolute quiet is that on the weekends, there is a bar right next door that can get noisy with music and chatter through the wall (it doesn't seem to be open during the week). Other than that, it's very quiet.

Gloryvee’s home is in a pristine location in San Juan where you can walk everywhere, which my boyfriend and I absolutely loved! It is a PERFECT space for a couple, especially if you enjoy being close to all the action. Gloryvee provided excellent check-in instructions that were very clear and easy to follow. We had no issues finding the place or checking in. Her directions for using the hot water were also spot on, and we had no problems with water pressure or temperature during our stay. The bed was very comfortable, and one thing we especially appreciated was how cool the apartment could get, perfect for sleeping! The space was clean and there were plenty of towels provided. Lastly, Gloryvee is an incredibly responsive host. She checks in on her guests and replies very quickly. She truly goes above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful visit. My boyfriend and I already miss it and would absolutely stay here again or in any of her other properties. 10/10 experience.

  • David Meyer★★★★★

Gloryvee was extremely responsive and helpful. Unfortunately the Airbnb we had booked through her had an active water leak. Within a couple minutes of notifying her, she responded and sent people to assess the unit. While we waited we got dinner and by the time we got back she had found a different, even nicer, Airbnb that we could go to. We greatly appreciate her help and communication on this trip and highly recommend staying at any Airbnb hosted by Gloryvee.

Old San Juan is the walled colonial quarter founded in 1521 — a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of the oldest European-founded cities anywhere in the Americas.

Its streets are paved with adoquines, the blue-grey cobblestones cast from furnace slag and laid down centuries ago, and they run between pastel townhouses with wrought-iron balconies and interior courtyards. Castillo San Felipe del Morro and Castillo San Cristóbal anchor either end of the district, both part of the San Juan National Historic Site.
